This week, Google announced it was developing a car.
In its infinite wisdom, Google has decided that it needed to force innovation and develop a car which drives itself. A while back Google CEO Eric Schmidt said that “It’s a bug that cars were invented before computers.” I suppose Google set out to correct that bug. What have they designed? A Toyota Prius that drives itself. Brilliant. Sitting atop that beautiful mid-size coup is a lazer which might just sterilize you, but this is not a physical health blog, its a privacy blog. What are the implications of Google creating this, besides letting you read the paper on the way in to work?
